My journey in the art: Two decades of passion and craft

I have always loved dolls, but I first discovered the reborn world through an online article nearly 22 years ago. Shortly after, I purchased my first collectible reborn and became active in collector forums, taking the time to learn everything I could about this art form on my own. I began painting my first reborn in 2011. A turning point came in 2014 when Adrie Stoete offered me my first prototype. Since then, I have focused almost exclusively on collaborating with sculptors, specializing in prototype painting and professional photography.

I typically work on several dolls at the same time, though I prefer not to repeat skin tones or following a strict painting sequence. I believe every doll should be truly unique and possess its own distinct essence. I work across all skin tones and ethnicities, and I always enjoy experimenting with new colors and tones from time to time.

Photography remains my favorite part of the process. I exclusively shoot using natural light, without the use of reflectors, screens, or studio bulbs. To capture the most lifelike images, I love blending realistic, everyday settings—such as cribs, baskets, or nurseries—with professional newborn photography setups.
